Hello, my beautiful babies. I'm your host, tiana Thompson, and this is Affirmations of a Bad Bitch. Today is all about setting yourself up for good days. Now, not every day is going to be a good day. Not every day is going to go as planned. It can't. You will have bad days, it happens. But there are a few things you can do to increase your likelihood of having a great day, even when you run into hiccups.

Speaker 1:

I am the queen of no plans, just a vibe. You know, I like to kind of see where the day takes me. But there is a certain level of preparedness that makes life easier, especially during the week when you are going to work and things like that. The first tip I have is prepare the night before. I usually think about what am I going to have tomorrow for breakfast, what am I going to have for lunch? I go ahead and I pack it up Snacks, drinks, gather it, pack it up ahead of time. I usually like to just make extra dinner. Whatever I'm having that night, I'll have the next day for lunch too. But I am a snacker, so I pack multiple snacks depending on what I have to do, and lately I have been obsessed with Boom, chicka Pops, sweet and Salty Kettle Corn. That has been my daily snack. It's, honestly, one of the best things that has ever happened to me.

But another way to prepare for the day getting good sleep put your phone down, stop doom scrolling, stop staying up late in the name of having time to yourself because you feel robbed of your time during the day. You know going to work, doing all of the mundane tasks instead of spending the day doing things you really enjoy. I get it, trust me, I do. But all you're really doing is self-sabotaging. You're going to feel like shit tomorrow because you didn't take care of yourself today, and if you feel like shit, you're probably not going to have the best day. Your body needs rest. You need sleep to recover, to rejuvenate, just to function properly. If you need to start a little evening routine Now, this does not need to be a strict schedule. Like, okay, at 7 o'clock I'm going to have dinner. 8 o'clock I shower. 8.30 I do my skincare. 9 o'clock I go to. Like no, that's doing too much, but it just means do things every evening to care for yourself, Set yourself up for good sleep tonight and a good day tomorrow. Something to think about adding to your evening routine, moving your body. Especially if you sit at a desk all day or just sit in general most of the day, it's important to get some movement.

Speaker 1:

I have been working out for like 2 months now, consistently 3 to 4 times a week, and I'm feeling pretty good. The reason I don't work out more than 4 times a week is because I don't want to find myself ever feeling like I have to work out. Some people work out every day. Good for you, it's great.

Speaker 1:

It's important to exercise and maintain physical health. I absolutely do not and will not define myself by my physical appearance, and even if I didn't work out at all, I would still be worthy of the same love, the same self acceptance that I have when I am. I just think my mental health and my inner peace is more important than that. So find balance with it. You can exercise and prioritize your well being without being so attached to the physical results. That that's how you define your worth.

Speaker 1:

What you look like is not the focus. What you feel like is. You should never feel bad about yourself if you miss a workout and just listen to your body. For example, when I am on my period. I do not work out at all. So I'll go a week without working out and then, when I'm off my period, okay, then I start working out again. So really I work out four days a week, three weeks at a time. I take a week off because I'm not going to over strain my body when she needs the rest, but I really do feel healthier and like I have more energy now I Look forward to putting on a cute little set, turning on my hot girl music.

You know I'm in my own little world dancing around between workouts. Do Some self-care Shower, wash your face, do your skin care, put on lotion, do a hair treatment I don't freaking care. Just do something for yourself, do something to nurture yourself and Then wind down, whatever that means to you. Watch a show I like to read at night, drink some tea, maybe work on a puzzle, meditate, have your favorite little drink, just relax. Then go to sleep at a decent time and when your alarm goes off during those God forsaken early morning hours, just get up. Don't push news a million times and don't just lay there dreading the act of getting up. Just do it. Stop thinking so damn much. Just do what needs to be done, because what happens when you lay there and you wait until the last minute to get up? Oh, now you're rushing and I hate being rushed. I am a dilly-dallyer, so I do give myself a few extra minutes. Then probably a lot of people, because I know myself, okay, I know my brain. Every day is like playing a video game and it just takes me a while to complete the main mission, because all of the little side quests are just so fun and I just love completing those too. Okay, but that's fine, because a lot of times during those side quests you learn information, you gain tools that'll help you later on in the game of life. See what I did there.

But when you wake up in the morning and this is the most important thing when you wake up, decide to have a good day and keep deciding even when things don't go the way you want. Oh no, you just spilled your coffee. You got stuck in traffic, someone was mean to you because they aren't having a good day. Well, you still can. Don't let minor inconveniences ruin your mood. Pivot, laugh At yourself At the universe, say what the fuck is going on and then continue. Literally, nothing is ever that serious. Don't be quick to anger. There's no need for it. Breathe and enjoy the mishaps, because maybe you being stuck in traffic this morning saved your life. What if, had you not been sitting at a standstill safely? You would have been hit by somebody not paying attention. Well then, what? Everything works out the way it's supposed.

To Believe that, and it always, will just change your perspective. Choose to see the good, choose to have joy, no matter the circumstances, and choose to have a good day. Listen to your favorite music while you get ready in the morning, dance, listen to a podcast, give someone a compliment, use your good day to improve someone else's, but never let someone else's bad day ruin yours. Keep the joy, keep the positive perception and keep the good vibes bitch. Now let's say our affirmations. Repeat after me I am strong. Biscuits saying our affirmations with us.
